The Bridge Mentorship Program
The Bridge Mentorship program at Elk Rock Yoga provides a unique experience in continuing education.
Over the course of three months, you will be guided through an in-depth study of asana practice, teaching skills & yogic study.
Following your own path of research, your teacher will challenge and support you to find your own voice as a teacher.
Private Mentorship Sessions
You will meet with your mentor twice per month for a discussion session. These sessions will be structured to outline your goals and objectives and discuss your progress. You will also be given reading and writing assignments relevant to your interests. (Total: 6 Hours)
Asana Practice
You are required to practice one asana class per week with your mentor. The cost of these classes is included in the cost of the program. (Total: 18 Hours)
Observation/Assist
Initially, you will observe 6 of your mentor’s class and have a brief discussion afterwards to answer any questions that may have arisen regarding sequencing, etc. If your mentor deems it appropriate, you may begin to lead one or two poses in class. (Total: 9 Hours)
Practice Teaching
Towards the end of the program, you will have an opportunity to teach one full-length ”Featured Teacher” class for ERY or have your mentor come to a class that you are already teaching. Your mentor will observe and provide feedback. (Total: 2 Hours)
