In this workshop you will get an overview of the basics of trauma and trauma-informed practice, how oppressive systems like white, able-bodied supremacy show up in western yoga spaces and effect nervous systems (collectively and individually), and how to create safer, more welcoming spaces for all.
Angelina is the owner of Gravity and Grace Movement Studio , has been teaching since 2001 and active in social justice work her whole life. She holds a BA in Dance from SFSU, is a certified Pilates and yoga teacher specializing in therapeutic movement and trauma-informed practices, and is a trainer/facilitator for the non-profit Living Yoga in Portland.
